Girls Who Code Rebrandbrand identity, generative design
Girls Who Code is a global non-profit organization that aims to use coding education to empower young women and close the gender gap in tech.
The Girls Who Code rebrand visualizes the dismantling of gender barriers in technology through a dynamic identity system. The <G+/>
logo, employing coding syntax to symbolize 'more girls in coding,' fragments into abstract bar patterns through a custom rasterization engine. This deconstruction represents the breaking down of rigid industry norms and stereotypes as Girls Who Code works to dismantle barriers that limited women's participation in technology.
<G+/> rasterize effect generatorBuilt on open-source code, the custom rasterization engine allows for dynamic manipulation of the Girls Who Code logo through an intuitive interface. Users can control vertical and horizontal parameters to generate unique bar patterns, which form the foundation of the brand's visual language. This interactive tool demonstrates how code can be both a creative medium and an instrument of visual transformation.
